A Time to Reflect and Say Thank You!

One of the great pleasures during the Holiday Season is the time it affords us to reflect, providing perspective on the year and the many blessings in our lives. In this process, we must not lose sight of the importance of recognizing who helped us along the way and what changes should be evaluated for the future.

Looking back, it’s amazing to see how quickly the real estate industry is evolving. Innovation will continue to propel those receptive to new ideas and process forward. We should take a moment to appreciate how technology is both disrupting and improving how we connect. There is also a rising generation of professionals entering the CRE landscape. Their optimism and drive are inspiring and will impact our industry in exciting ways.

Both this new wave of tech and emerging leaders presents a unique opportunity for those companies that are paying close attention. Due to changes in technology, globalization and the class ebb and flow of M&A activity, any commercial real estate organization that wants to thrive in today’s fast paced environment must adapt. The very best will learn to lead it which requires decisive, meaningful action and a highly creative, nimble leadership team.

I am proud to be a part of a company recognized up and down the West Coast by various media outlets as one of the very best places to work. Kidder Mathews entrepreneurial spirit, integrity and vibrant company culture is evident at every office I visit. With this in mind, I must express my sincerest appreciation to Kidder Mathews dedicated employees and sales professionals whose passion for this industry is unparalleled. It is this collective group of extraordinary people that make our company so unique.

I am also thankful for the opportunity my peers have given me by being elected President-Elect of SIOR for 2018. I look forward to working closely with the SIOR board of directors to pursue new industry-leading initiatives that will benefit the CRE community. SIOR is a thriving organization dedicated to connecting leaders in commercial real estate and I am honored to hold the designation.

Reflecting on the year, none of the great work accomplished would be possible without the clients that continue to place their faith and trust in me, my team, and Kidder Mathews as a whole, to represent their interests. CRE is a highly competitive business. Clients entertain offers from many firms and I am grateful they invest their time and effort with us.

As 2017 comes to a close, there is much to be thankful for and I couldn’t conclude without recognizing my family and friends whose kindness, love and support has no limits.

The future for commercial real estate remains bright. I look forward to the New Year with excitement and a great sense of appreciation for being a part of this respected profession.

Wishing everyone a Holiday Season filled with blessings!
